This is a perfect follow up to Bhante Henepola Gunaratana’s first book, Mindfulness in Plain English. You don’t have to be Buddhist to find value in his message. However, he does take on some of Buddha’s most profound teachings and meditation techniques to help others deal with their daily problems. He shows us how to handle anger, combat personal relationships through mindful actions, but most importantly the author teaches us how to see beyond our own barriers in our mind that prevent us from being happy despite all outside factors.
Eight Mindful Steps to Happiness is a book full of friendly knowledge that leads you towards calm, and peace of mind. This is wonderful read that should be in everyone’s backpack on their trip to self-awareness and inner-peace.
